On January 16 and 17, students interested in enrolling for the elite study program Finance and Information Management (FIM) had a chance to get first-hand information by professors and current students of the FIM-network at an information event in Augsburg and Munich.

Besides technical skills, possibilities for immersion courses and international networking with various research groups, the professors presented a wide range of soft skill offers.
In Augsburg, a KPMG representative stated the company’s role as a partner of the FIM-program. He highlighted the excellent education this program offers and the high reputation former FIM student have established at KPMG.
In Munich, another business partner, namely Allianz Global Investors, focused on scholarship opportunities, internship opportunities during the program as well as career paths after completing the program.
Besides business partners, current and former FIM students talked about their own experiences and the chances during the FIM master’s program, including internships at business partners like KPMG as well as their individual research. The FIM alumni also brought up their own careers after FIM and offered personal advice for a successful career start.
At the end of the event, all attending students had the chance to ask personal questions during a get-together. All professors, current students and alumni answered questions regarding curriculum, application process, scholarships, going abroad with FIM and the mentoring program.
