FIM is designed for excellent and outstanding talents who have completed a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business & Information Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics including Financial and Business Mathematics, Statistics, or related study fields.

Being successful in a leadership position requires both, professional as well as interpersonal competencies. Regular soft skill courses, summer schools, projects with business partners, and an obligatory social project shape these important personal qualifications. The Master in Finance & Information Management promotes an interdisciplinary approach, which includes highly diverse skills and interests.
Technical training, personal development, and enhancement of interdisciplinary competencies are core elements of our program with the goal of building the leadership skills of tomorrow. If you participate in these additional courses, you will receive the Certificate of Honors from the TUM School of Management.
To be eligible for the Master in Finance and Information Management, an application must meet all of the following criteria:
Please note: It is not necessary to prove any knowledge in the German language at the time of application. However, as a foreign student you are required to provide proof of basic German language proficiency (comparable to A1 level) by the end of the second semester.

In 2004, FIM was introduced within the framework of the Elite Network of Bavaria. FIM has emerged as a great success story ever since: In addition to the University of Augsburg, the University of Bayreuth and the Technical University of Munich, other national and international scientific and business partners constitute this unique and individual study program. Furthermore, the high reputation of FIM is also demonstrated by the excellent position in the nationwide CHE Master-Ranking of 2008, 2011, 2014, 2017, and 2020 of the newspapers “Die Zeit” and “Handelsblatt”, in which FIM was ranked 1st in all categories.
