First FIM Alumni Event hosted on November 24th in at the Café Reitschule in the centre of Munich
On November 24th, almost 200 current students, alumni, professors and business partners came together for the first ever FIM Alumni Event. Hosted at the Café Reitschule in the centre of Munich, the event offered a wonderful opportunity for networking, exchanging experiences and reunions with fellow classmates.
Following a short introduction by the main organizers (12th FIM class), Professor Buhl and Professor Zagst welcomed all guests and gave a little preview of what was planned for the afternoon. Afterwards, all guests had the chance to get to know each other better through a fun introductory game. In a panel discussion, various FIM-Alumni talked about their career choices after graduation and shared interesting insights into the diverse working fields possible after university (A big thank you to all the speakers at this point!).
In the early evening, all guests joined in for so called “Roundtables”. In small groups, it was possible to exchange ideas about topics such as experiences with start-ups, managing career and family or the decision between industry and doctoral programs. Especially for all current students, this was a perfect occasion to gather advice from the FIM-community and to ask lots of questions. After a day of networking, the official program was closed with the Alumni elections, a cup of typical German “Glühwein” (mulled wine) and a delicious dinner.
Until early in the morning, everyone enjoyed the after-party at the great location with drinks, music and good conversations. Thanks to the amazing DJ, almost nobody could hold still and everyone was cheerfully dancing and celebrating.
We want to say thank you to the organizers and business partners for making this fantastic event possible and we are already looking forward to seeing everyone again next year!
